The English-Speaking Union (ESU) invites you and your students to join the below programmes this year, which are supported by SCOLAR and funded by the Language Fund.
Programme A: Reader’s Theatre
The popular fun- filled Reader’s Theatre Programme! Students will read different characters in a play story, learn good English conversations, vocabularies, gain confidence along the way and act as a team player. Recommended for S1 - S5 students, the ESU is offering a choice of four exciting stories:
This is the sixth year that English-Speaking Union Hong Kong is running the Reader’s Theatre Programme and we are pleased that, each year so far, we have received an overwhelmingly positive response. The programme will consist of two sessions of two hours each during weekdays at your school premises. The tutors are well-experienced and dedicated educationists and the whole is curated by ESU(HK) supported by SCOLAR. Each participating student and teacher will receive an original copy of the book after the successful completion of the programme.
Programme B : Impromptu Speaking: give a short speech with little or no preparation
The English-Speaking Union is offering this programme to S2-S5 students who would like to advance their public-speaking skills. They will learn how to think quickly, organise ideas clearly and speak fluently. There is a choice of two versions of this programme to suit different expectations.
